About me
Banu Sahin has been involved in a wide range of projects from small-scale venues to large open-air events with a focus on immersive audio applications. She supported various artists and productions through spatial audio system design and operation. She received her M.Sc. in Music Acoustics from the Detmold University of Music in 2017. Following her graduation, she joined d&b audiotechnik, where she worked until 2025 specializing in object-based audio applications. In 2025 she founded Sonostein UG, where she is currently working as a technical consultant and application engineer, developing innovative concepts for immersive installations and live shows.
She also served as Chair of the AES Germany board (2022/2023) and led the founding committee of the Verein Deutscher Audio Ingenieur:innen (Association of German Audio Engineers), both of which remain active contributors to the professional audio community.
