Huseyin Hacihabiboglu is a Full Professor of Signal Processing at Graduate School of Informatics, METU, Ankara, Turkey. He received the B.Sc. METU, Ankara, Turkey, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Bristol in 2001, both in electrical and electronic engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Queen’s University Belfast in 2004. He held research positions at University of Surrey and King’s College London. His research interests include audio signal processing, room acoustics, multichannel audio systems, psychoacoustics of spatial hearing, microphone arrays, and game audio. He founded METU Spatial Audio Research Group (
METU SPARG) in 2013 and co-founded sonixpace teknoloji ltd. in 2024. He has been elected as the AES VP for the SEMEA region for the 2024-2026 term.
